IMAGE MEDIA SERVICES SNARES TWO FOREIGN TRADE CONTRACTS WITH THE U.S. CENSUS BUREAU
MCLEAN, VA (September 17, 2001) - Image Media Services, a full-service, international advertising agency, has been awarded seminar coordination and advertising and marketing contracts with the Foreign Trade Division of the U.S. Census.

IMS' responsibilities for the Foreign Trade Division include promoting local and national seminars to enhance the education of the public and business communities about the products and services provided by the Foreign Trade Division, U.S. Census. This will be accomplished by utilizing both traditional and new media including in-flight magazines. In addition, IMS will be charged with overall coordination of the seminars.
"IMS' work for the 2000 Census Recruitment Campaign has been recognized by the entire Bureau as Outstanding," stated Harvey Monk, Chief, Foreign Trade Division. "We knew we wanted to work with the best."
For the Census 2000 Recruitment advertising, IMS strategically developed display ads for newspapers and magazines, classified ads, transit ads, billboards, postcards, television and radio ads in six different languages. The campaign targeted minority groups including African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, American Indians and Pacific Islanders, as well as the general audience, taking sensitivity into account. In all, over 6,000 ads were placed, IMS came in under budget, on time and over-achieved the Census Bureau's goal by 25 percent.
