IMAGE MEDIA SERVICES, INC. ONE OF THREE FINALISTS FOR $50 MILLION ANNUAL AIR FORCE ADVERTISING PROJECT
MCLEAN, VA (October 5, 2000) -- Image Media Services (IMS) has just been selected as one of three finalists for the Strategic Marketing and Advertising Campaign for Recruitment and Retention for the U.S. Air Force.
"To be one of the three finalists is a great honor," stated Jennifer Ahn, President of IMS. "We knew the competition was fierce and included many of the largest advertising agencies in the country. This just shows that a small creative agency can beat the big guys."
IMS is a small, minority, woman-owned advertising agency, which in a revolutionary teaming approach, joined forces with two other minority agencies and one large national advertising agency. In the final selection process, IMS will be competing against GSD&M; of Austin, TX and Bozell Group of New York, NY. The $50 million a year project, 5 years plus 2 option years, will commence next spring. The Air Force will award the project in mid-November after final creative proposals are reviewed. The project will focus on advertising for awareness, recruitment and retention.
IMS has just successfully completed the largest peacetime recruitment project in history for the U.S. Census Bureau. IMS recruited over 3.7 million people for Census 2000, which exceeded the client's goal by almost 25%. As a result of IMS' efforts, over 7 million phone calls were made to the Census job hotline.
Established in 1989, IMS is a full-service, domestic and international 8(a) certified advertising, marketing and public relations firm located in McLean, Virginia. IMS' clients include AT&T;, Korean Airlines and the United States Government.
